A flavorful and love-filled story that will melt your hearts.
The Doughfellas was a long-lived dream of Chef Andre Barone and his wife, Daphne Glidden, who met 20+ years ago in culinary school in São Paulo, Brazil. Andre, Daphne, and their two daughters went on to start their highly rated pizzeria in Pompano Beach years ago.
Enter Lorraine and Thiago, the owners of the Tree House. When they moved to Ft Lauderdale in 2022, they didn’t have to look too far to find phenomenal pizza. The Doughfellas served up delicious pizza in their own neighborhood.
It was the Friday ritual at home to order the White Pizza and Chicken Catipury – crowd favorites and the only pizza their picky little eaters at home would eat. The two couples became friends and bonded over pizza, the struggles of parenting, and Brazilian-American life in general.
After eating a lot of pizza dinners on the late nights a new business requires, Lorraine and Thiago knew they wanted The Doughfellas as their official restaurant partner inside their indoor playground. And the rest is history.
In July, The Doughfellas officially opened inside The Tree House Play & Cafe, and it’s been a huge hit with parents and kids, and for good reason, it’s absolutely delicious.
