The Tree House Indoor Play & Cafe — Privacy Policy
Updated: Sep 17, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how The Tree House Indoor Play & Cafe (“Tree House,” “we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, and shares information through our website (treehouseindoorplay.com) and at our Fort Lauderdale, Pompano Beach, and Pembroke Pines locations, operated by Treehouse Family Entertainment Group Holdings LLC and its affiliated location entities.
By using our website, booking a visit, signing a waiver, or visiting one of our locations, you agree to the practices described here. If you are a parent or guardian providing information about a child, you are confirming you have the authority to do so on the child’s behalf.
This policy does not apply to third-party sites we link to, including our booking and waiver platform, which has its own privacy policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us directly. When you contact us, book online, sign a waiver, or visit a location, we may collect:
- Name, email address, phone number, and mailing/billing address
- Information about your child(ren), such as name, date of birth or age, and emergency contact details, collected through our digital waiver and booking system (Roller) for safety and admission purposes
- Allergy, medical, or accessibility information you choose to share with us for your child’s safety
- Payment information (such as card details) when you purchase a day pass, membership, party package, or gift card — this is collected and processed by our booking platform (Roller) and its payment processor; we do not store full payment card numbers ourselves
- Party details you provide when booking a birthday party (theme, guest count, add-ons)
- Messages you send us by email, phone, or our contact form
Photos and video. We may take photos or video at our locations — including during play and at birthday parties — for safety monitoring and, where you’ve consented, for marketing on our website and social media.
Security cameras. Our locations use security cameras for the safety of guests and staff.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, ours automatically collects some technical information when you visit — IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and referring website — through standard analytics tools. See Section 6 (Cookies and Tracking Technologies) for details.
2. Children’s Information
Our website is intended for parents and guardians, not children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children online (as protected under the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, or COPPA).
At our physical locations, we do collect limited information about children — such as name, age or date of birth, and emergency contact or allergy details — but only from a parent or legal guardian through our waiver and booking process, and only to run our facility safely (verifying age-based pricing and play areas, contacting a parent in an emergency, accommodating allergies).
We do not use this information to market directly to children, and we do not knowingly allow children to create their own accounts or make purchases on our site.
Photos or video of your child taken at our locations are only used for marketing (website, social media) if you’ve given consent, typically through a checkbox at waiver sign-up or booking. You can decline this or withdraw consent at any time — see Section 9.
Parents and guardians can review, correct, or request deletion of information we hold about their child by contacting us at hello@treehouseindoorplay.com.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Process waivers, day pass and membership purchases, and birthday party bookings
- Run our facilities safely, including responding to allergies, injuries, or emergencies
- Process payments and prevent fraud
- Send confirmations, reminders, receipts, and respond to customer service questions
- Send marketing communications about promotions, events, and offers, where you’ve opted in (Section 4)
- Operate, maintain, and improve our website and services
- Comply with legal, tax, and insurance obligations
4. Communications: Transactional vs. Marketing
Transactional messages — booking confirmations, waiver reminders, receipts, and membership billing or cancellation notices — are necessary to provide our services, and you cannot opt out of these while you remain a customer.
Marketing messages — emails or texts about promotions, events, birthday offers, or new locations — are sent only if you’ve opted in (for example, at checkout or waiver sign-up). Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. We follow applicable email and text marketing laws, including CAN-SPAM and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).
5. How We Share Your Information
We will never sell your personal information. We share it only in these situations:
- Service providers. Companies that help us run our business — our booking, waiver, and point-of-sale platform (Roller), payment processors, email/text marketing platform, website host, and analytics providers — receive only the information needed to do their job, under confidentiality and data-protection terms.
- Legal reasons. We may disclose information to comply with a law, regulation, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of Tree House, our guests, or staff.
- Business transfers. If Tree House is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets — including as we open new locations — information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy or a successor policy we notify you about.
- With your consent. For example, tagging your family in event photos we post publicly to social media, if you’ve agreed.
- Aggregated or de-identified data. We may share information that no longer identifies you, such as overall visitor statistics.
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to:
- Keep the site running properly and remember your preferences
- Understand how visitors use our site (analytics)
- Support advertising and retargeting on platforms like Meta (Facebook/Instagram), Patch Retention and Pinterest, so you may see Tree House ads elsewhere after visiting our site
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; some site features may not work as well if you do. We do not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, as there is no common industry standard for how to do so.
7. Data Retention
We keep information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy:
- Waiver and account information: while you’re an active customer, plus a period afterward to meet our legal, insurance, and safety record-keeping needs
- Payment information: retained by our payment processor under its own PCI-compliant standards; we do not store full card numbers
- Marketing contact information: until you unsubscribe or opt out
- Security camera footage: retained for a limited period, longer only if needed to investigate an incident
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including restricting staff access to waiver and child-safety data and relying on our booking and payment partners’ PCI-DSS-compliant systems for payment processing. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Rights and Choices
You can:
- Ask us to review, correct, or update the information we have about you or your child
- Opt out of marketing emails (unsubscribe link) or texts (reply STOP) at any time
- Control cookies through your browser settings
- Request deletion of your information, subject to what we’re required to keep for legal, tax, or insurance reasons (for example, we can’t delete billing records tied to an active membership)
To exercise any of these, contact us using the information in Section 12.
10. State-Specific Disclosures
Florida. Florida’s Information Protection Act requires us to use reasonable security measures and to notify affected individuals if a data breach compromises your personal information, generally within 30 days of discovery. The broader Florida Digital Bill of Rights currently applies only to very large businesses and does not apply to Tree House at our current size.
Other states. Comprehensive privacy laws in states like California generally apply only to larger businesses that meet certain revenue or data-volume thresholds, which Tree House does not currently meet. Regardless, we’ll honor reasonable requests from any guest, wherever they live, to access, correct, or delete their information — contact us and we’ll do our best to help.
Our website and locations are intended for visitors in the United States, and information is processed and stored in the U.S.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time as our services or the law change. We’ll post any updates here with a revised effective date, and if a change significantly affects how we use information you’ve already given us, we’ll take reasonable steps to let you know.
